‘Sangam’ - Enjoy an evening of sangam or convergence of the two Indian Classical music styles: Hindustani from the north and Carnatic from the south of India in a live music concert performed by quartet of virtuoso maestro musicians along with San Antonio’s Indian classical vocal and dance schools.
Join us at the Mahalakshmi Hall auditorium, located on the serene hills of Helotes in the Hindu Temple of San Antonio Complex (HTSA). The peaceful surroundings command a spectacular view of the Hill Country, including complimentary Indian refreshments and mesmerizing Indian classical music, vocals and dance.
Touring the country from India, we welcome J.A. Jayanth in the flute; Ramdas Palsule in the tabla; Ashwani Shankar in the shehnai and Sai Giridhar in the mrudangam. The program includes performances by the Swarajali School of Hindustani vocals directed by Rachna Bodas and Bharatanatyam dance by the students the Kaveri Natya Yoga school choreographed by Dr. Sreedhara Akkihebbalu.
